Music is an indigenous language. It's the heartbeat. A lullaby comes from everyone one if us in the womb, the heartbeat, and we feel it. That's the first meter and cadence, written in our first tissue of heart and eye. It's our connection to our universe and one another, connecting our individual understandings, sensitivities, and struggles to a great collective movement. That is ultimately where the music comes from; it becomes the new language.
